For more than 59 years, the Italian headquarters of the Finproject industrial group, now part of Versalis (Eni), has been located in Morrovalle (Macerata). It is a vertically integrated organisation whose core business focuses on the production of cross-linkable polyolefin compounds, polymer alloys and PVC compounds (blends formed by dissolving polymer resins with additives and fillers) and injection moulding of cross-linkable, expandable plastics. It manufactures and markets ultralight products under the XL EXTRALIGHT® brand for leading brands in the footwear sector and other industries: home spa, safety, automotive and furnishing.
Finproject has 11 plants and research laboratories in several countries (5 in Italy, Romania, India, China, Vietnam, Canada, Mexico), two trading companies (United States and Brazil) and a showroom (Turkey). Since 1971, it has been a pioneering manufacturer of special materials (Halogen Free Flame Retardants) under its Padanaplast brand.
Finproject was founded by Euro Vecchiola in 1965 as a small Italian manufacturer of handcrafted footwear, going on to establish itself worldwide as one of Italy’s finest in just a matter of years. A model of entrepreneurial research and development, right from the start, Finproject invested and continues to invest in manufacturing and material innovation that it tests and develops in its own laboratories. Thanks to the experience, talent and creativeness produced in almost 60 years of doing business, Finproject has succeeded in transforming extremely lightweight foam into a technological ingredient with high added value.
Today, Finproject is a vertically integrated business, established with its own network throughout the world and concentrating its core activities in two business units: Compounding and Moulding.
International presence: Italy, Romania, India, China, Vietnam, Mexico, Canada, Turkey, Brazil.
