Versalis for 2025, our Sustainability Report, presents the company’s commitment to developing progressively more sustainable and innovative solutions, through an integrated approach that brings together strategy, performance, and stakeholder engagement.

Transforming the chemical industry today means rethinking technologies and value chains to create long-term value. In this context, we are continuing our journey with determination toward a more sustainable chemistry, focusing on three strategic pillars: progressive decarbonization, biochemicals, and circularity.

Our sustainability improvement objectives guide our strategic and industrial choices, shaping the transformation plan toward the development of higher value-added platforms that are more resilient and integrated, and increasingly aligned with market needs. This approach aims to combine economic growth, greater attention to the environment, and people development, within a Just Transition framework and through the creation of shared value along the value chain.

In this context, Versalis continues to expand and diversify its global offering, with a progressive focus on solutions related to circularity and biochemicals. In 2025, the portfolio of polymers sold was composed of 91% fossil-based products and 9% products containing biomass and secondary raw materials derived from post-consumer plastic recycling.

The report provides a comprehensive overview of this journey, highlighting:

  • progress toward carbon neutrality by 2050 and decarbonization targets
  • the development of bio-based and circular solutions
  • commitment to enhanced environmental protection, safety, and people
  • the role of research and innovation as key transformation drivers
  • initiatives and partnerships across the entire value chain

These areas represent the levers through which we contribute to the transition toward a proressively more sustainable and inclusive development model.

Versalis' transformation is not just a response to short-term challenges, but a long-term strategic choice to build a more resilient, sustainable, and specialized portfolio, through new higher value-added growth platforms.
