Versalis Revive® PE, the first synthetic grass padel court in Piacenza

Grand opening in Piacenza for the first Versalis Revive® PE padel court made of synthetic grass with recycled plastic.

The initiative stems from the collaboration between Versalis, supplier of the raw material, Fornaroli Polymers, national and international distributor of thermoplastic polymers and chemical products, and Italgreen, producer of synthetic grass entirely made in Italy.

The carpet installed contains about 30% recycled plastic and was made using a grade from the Versalis Revive® PE product range, i.e. a mixture of polymers and additives produced from post-consumer packaging waste and certified according to the scheme Plastica Seconda Vita (second life plastic). These are "compounds" that contain high percentages of polyethylene from recycled raw materials developed with cutting-edge technologies, in order to ensure a high quality that makes them suitable for use in various fields, including sports field carpets, where advanced technical features  are required.

The carpet created is more sustainable than traditional carpets because, in addition to containing post-consumer material, it is, in turn, 100% recyclable.
