We are proud to be part of the exhibition organized by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) titled “Italy of Patents: Successful Inventions and Innovations” recently inaugurated at Palazzo Piacentini in Rome. The event celebrates the 140th anniversary of the Italian Patent and Trademark Office's founding and the 550th anniversary of the publication of the first Patent Statute, issued by the Republic of Venice in 1474.
The exhibition aims to showcase the impact of 100 industrial inventions that have influenced Italian and international society through various generations of innovators, from the early individual inventors to today’s multidisciplinary teams working in universities, research centers, and startups.
Versalis is participating with the patent for Hoop®, a technology for the chemical recycling of mixed plastic waste, awarded in 2023 by the EU Innovation Fund*. In the Energy and Climate Tech section, alongside us are Novamont, featuring its patent for the catalytic cracking process of vegetable oils, and Eni, presenting its method for converting traditional oil refineries into biorefineries.
The exhibition is open to the public on weekends from November 23 until March 2025, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy headquarters (Palazzo Piacentini, Via Veneto 33 - Rome).
