Eni Winter Village for Milano Cortina 2026

Eni Winter Village in Milan: fun, winter sports and increased sustainability for Milano Cortina 2026

From 6 February to 15 March, Piazza Città di Lombardia in Milan is transformed into a snowy wonderland thanks to the Eni Winter Village, the widespread village created by Eni in collaboration with Regione Lombardia.
Open to everyone, this immersive space celebrates the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, combining play, sport and more sustainable innovation.

As a Premium Partner of the Games, Eni offers unique experiences for visitors of all ages. Thanks to our collaboration, the following have been created:

The cross-country ski track at the Eni Winter Village

The cross-country ski track at the Eni Winter Village was created through a collaboration between Versalis and Neveplast. It is an innovative project designed to offer an authentic, accessible and engaging experience, bringing Nordic skiing closer to the public even in an urban setting.

The Neveplast X-Country track is made using Versalis’ HDPE Balance® and EVA Balance®, sourced up to 98% from renewable feedstocks* and ISCC PLUS certified—a choice that combines high technical performance with enhanced environmental sustainability.

The track is laid out as a complete technical loop, combining both cross-country skiing disciplines:

  • 210 m² dedicated to freestyle (skating)
  • 30 linear metres of classic technique

This configuration allows visitors to experience both main cross-country skiing techniques in a realistic way, ensuring continuity of movement, smoothness and safety.

Snowball Dive for children

A large pool dedicated to younger visitors, filled with white spheres that look like snowballs: a landscape where children can dive in, play and take unforgettable photos.

The balls in the pool are made of Balance® HDPE BCA, produced produced starting from wholly or partly bio-naphtha.

* To assign sustainability characteristics to the product, Versalis has applied the Mass Balance approach, a recognised bio-attribution methodology that allows, even when there is no physical segregation between alternative/renewable and traditional raw materials, the assignment - on conventional basis - of the sustainability characteristics of raw materials to the final products, in accordance to precise rules of traceability and attribution. Find out more
