Born in Naples, Italy, in 1972, a chemical engineer, he has been Versalis’ CEO since January 2021, after having held various roles in the chemical industry abroad.
Experience
With over 20 years of experience, he has worked in international markets of significant size and complexity, with responsibilities in supply chain, marketing, strategy development, and global business management.
He is also the President of Matrìca, Versalis' joint venture in renewable chemicals.
Furthermore, Mr Alfani is Vice President of Federchimica with responsibility for Europe, Member of the Board of the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic) and the Alliance to End Plastic Waste.
