Born in Guardiagrele (CH) in 1978, father of Martina and Matteo, he has been Chemicals Business Unit Manager at Versalis since September 2024.
Experiences
He holds two honours degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering, and an Executive Master’s Degree in General Management (Eni's Program for Management Development) from SDA Bocconi.
He began his career in 2003 as a researcher and joined the Eni Group in 2004, starting in the Refining & Marketing Division, Refining Department, dealing with technical and operational management control. Within the same Department, working in different roles at the Rome site and the Gela Refinery, he was appointed Manager of Refining Operations in 2012 and Vice President of Operations in 2015, dealing with both Italian sites and foreign JVs.
In 2017 he was appointed Vice President of International Business Development, where he worked on the acquisition of the 20% stake in Adnoc Refining.
In 2019 he moved to Abu Dhabi, first as Deputy MD and later as Managing Director and General Manager of Eni's local branch, to manage the UAE refining and oil trading interests, where he was appointed to the Board of Adnoc Global Trading.
At the beginning of 2022, he held the position of Manager of Oil and Products Portfolio Optimisation and Supply in the Green and Traditional Refining&Marketing business area before moving to Versalis.
