Monica Spada, Civil Engineer and MBA in Management & Economics of Energy & Environment at Eni Corporate University.
With almost 18 years of experience in Eni S.p.A., Monica Spada has been covering relevant managerial roles within different Eni areas of business.
In June 2024 she joined Versalis, the chemical company of Eni, first as Head of Circular Economy, Sustainability and Strategic Marketing and, and the following year she also took on the role of Head of Global Commercial, managing all commercial activities of the company, including marketing, sales and products technical development.
In November 2021 she became Head of Research & Technological Innovation in Eni.
Former Head of Oil and Products Portfolio Optimization and Supply in the Green/Traditional Eni Refining & Marketing department.
Previously she served as Head of Bio-Development, Sustainable Mobility & Circular Economy department of the company and was responsible for the Long-Term Positioning Initiatives Coordination activities with particular reference to those relating to Carbon Neutrality.
Her earlier position as Responsible of the Office of the CEO introduced her to an extensive knowledge of the energy sector.
She is currently member of the Board of several companies, including Eni Rewind, Novamont, Lotte Versalis Elastomers Co.
For more than five years, she was also a member of the Board of the Milazzo Refinery, serving the Board of Directors from 2018 to 2024.
From 2020 to 2024 she held the role as Chairman of OMC Med Energy Conference & Exhibition, focused on disseminating technical knowledge and expertise to develop sustainable energy sources in the Mediterranean Area.
In 2024 she was also Chair of Advisory Board of MOST (Centro Nazionale per la Mobilità Sostenibile) and a Chairman of the Scientific Committee of ROAD (Rome Advanced District).
